Biography

Milorad Krstić, a multimedia artist of Serbian descent, was born in 1952 in Dornberk. He pursued a degree in law at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, marking the beginning of his artistic journey.

Since 1989, Krstić has resided and worked as a painter and multimedia artist in Budapest, Hungary. Throughout his career, he has explored various aspects of visual art, including painting, drawing, sculpting, documentary films, stage design, set design, photography, and interactive CD-ROMs.

Krstić's exceptional talent has been recognized through numerous awards and accolades. In 1995, he received a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival for his short animated film, My Baby Left Me. His interactive CD-ROM, Das Anatomische Theater, earned a MIFA award for Best Interactive Project at the Annecy festival in 1999.

The acclaimed artist's work has been showcased in solo exhibitions across numerous countries, including Germany, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Hungary. Some of the notable exhibitions took place in Berlin, Novi Sad, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Belgrade, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Oudehaske, Budapest, Kaposvar, Szeged, and Györ.

Krstić's most recent project, Ruben Brandt, Collector, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and went on to win the Art Cinema Award at the 15th Seville European Film Festival.
