Mocean's origin story began in Bangkok, Thailand, where he made his first vocalizations in 1977. As he grew up, he relocated to Santa Barbara, California, where he developed a flair for dude-ing and bro-ing. His academic pursuits took him to Eugene, Oregon, where he enrolled at the University of Oregon. With a passion for theater, Spanish, and partying, Mocean's college experience was a unique blend of creative expression and social excitement.
Upon graduating, Mocean kicked off his professional journey with a stint at a local radio station, where he honed his skills in recording and editing voice overs. His early days were marked by a healthy dose of curiosity, as he frequently inquired, "what's this button do?" This humble beginning paved the way for his subsequent relocation to Los Angeles, where he sought to leverage his radio experience in the competitive voice over market.
Mocean's first voice over coach, with a sense of humor, promised to "beat the radio out of him." Her words proved prophetic, as Mocean soon realized the vast scope of his development lay ahead. Undeterred, he dedicated himself to the craft, pouring his heart and soul into his work.
Fast-forward to 2005, when Mocean's hard work paid off, and he secured a top agent, catapulting him into the industry. Since then, he has voiced numerous major commercial campaigns, narrated a plethora of TV shows, crafted promos for various networks and programs, and lent his voice to radio stations across the United States and Canada.
