Mohit Raina's acting career commenced in 2006 with a stint in the science fiction television series Antariksh, which aired on Star Plus.
In 2008, he starred as JaiKishan in the comedy film Don Muthu Swami, alongside Mithun Chakraborthy, although the movie did not fare well.
Returning to television in 2009, Raina appeared in the Star Plus show Chehra, a suspense drama revolving around a handicapped girl, playing the role of her husband Garv, a young business tycoon.
He also had a role in the TV series Bandini, broadcast on NDTV Imagine.
In December 2010, the show Ganga Kii Dheej premiered on Sahara One, tackling the struggles of young unmarried girls in a rural West Bengal village called Kaliganj.
Raina played the male lead, Agantuk, who played a pivotal role in eradicating the evil customs of the village.
In late 2011, Raina gained widespread recognition after portraying Lord Shiva in the show Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, earning accolades for his performances as Shiva and his various forms.
Raina made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with Aditya Dhar's highly successful war drama film URI: The Surgical Strike, playing an important role.
