Born into a family with a strong background in the performing arts, her mother, a renowned choreographer, introduced her to the world of dance at the tender age of five. This early exposure laid the foundation for a lifelong passion, and she soon found herself making her stage debut in the timeless classic "The Nutcracker". As her skills and confidence grew, she went on to dance with the esteemed Omaha Ballet, honing her craft and gaining valuable experience.
But her talents didn't stop at dance alone. She also began to explore the world of acting, taking on roles in local productions of beloved musicals such as "The King and I" and "The Little Match Girl". Her early forays into the world of theater served as a perfect complement to her dance training, allowing her to develop a well-rounded set of skills.
As she entered her teenage years, she enrolled in the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, where she had the opportunity to explore her interest in African dance. This exposure not only deepened her understanding of the art form but also sparked a newfound appreciation for its rich cultural heritage.
Her hard work and dedication eventually paid off, as she was awarded a prestigious scholarship to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. This was a dream come true, and she was thrilled to have the opportunity to perform professionally with one of the most respected dance companies in the world.
