Monica R. Harris, a multifaceted SAG-E and AEA (EMC) actor, model, singer, and theatre arts professional, calls New Orleans, LA her home. Her educational background is rooted in the arts, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from The College of Music & Fine Arts at Loyola University New Orleans.
Born into a military family, Monica's childhood was marked by a sense of adventure and exploration. Her family's nomadic lifestyle saw them settle in various locations, including Hawaii, California, Montana, and Texas, before she set out on her own at the tender age of 18.
In 2004, Monica embarked on a cross-country journey, traveling by bus from New Orleans, LA to South Brunswick, NJ. The following year, she attended one fall term at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, before returning to Loyola University in the spring.
Upon graduating in 2007, Monica accepted an education position with Upward Bound and the Boys & Girls Club in Texas for the summer, with the goal of financing her eventual move back to New Orleans that fall. Despite having the heart of an explorer, Monica has managed to maintain a sense of roots in her hometown, where she continues to pursue her passions in the entertainment industry.
