Person Biography:
Born as the middle child of three girls, Phillips' grew up in an Air Force family with a stay-at-home mom. Her constant relocation as a youngster allowed her to develop flexibility and adaptability, as well as a knack for getting attention within her family and among friends. Despite often finding herself in trouble with adults, Phillips' learned valuable life skills and became a natural-born leader.
As a young girl, Phillips' artistic mother, a skater and dancer, asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. Phillips' responded with a surprising answer: Lucille Ball. She was also heavily influenced by Carol Burnett and enjoyed the British Carry On Gang films.
Phillips' artistic talents flourished in her youth, with a range of creative pursuits including painting, sculpting, and mixed media. However, she soon felt the need to express herself in more ways and turned to sports, excelling in Soccer and Track and Field, where her Relay Team won the Regional Title.
During her teenage years, Phillips' developed a passion for film and television. She attended the University of Ottawa, initially studying Creative Advertising to appease her family, but eventually returning to pursue a BA in Theatre.
Phillips' has since worked with notable actors and directors, including Tony Goldwyn, Tom Wilkinson, Blythe Danner, Hal Holbrook, and Naveen Andrews. She has also written and produced her own short films, completed a feature script, and has several projects in the works.
In addition to her acting career, Phillips' has a hidden talent: she was the uncredited hand that shot Chucky in the film Bride of Chucky.
