Montrel Maurice Miller is a talented actor who has been active in the entertainment industry since 2007. Born in Newton, Georgia, he grew up with values such as hard work, love of family, and persistence, which have significantly contributed to his development as an actor.
As the youngest of four sons, Montrel initially wanted to pursue a career in law. However, he had an innate ability to entertain and connect with others, which led him to explore the world of entertainment. In high school, he excelled in basketball and graduated salutatorian of his class. He then attended Florida A&M University, majoring in Agribusiness, but became increasingly interested in acting during his college years.
After graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors, Montrel moved to Atlanta to pursue his acting career. He made his film debut in Unconditional (2012),starring Michael Ealy and Lynn Collins, and soon after, he made his television debut in Tyler Perry's House of Payne (2006),playing the recurring role of Rashard.
Montrel's subsequent projects include a supporting role in the Academy Award-nominated film Selma (2014),as well as roles in Resurrection (2013),Coffee Shop (2014),and Being Mary Jane (2013). He also starred as CJ in the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning show Atlanta (2016),and appeared in the CBS drama series NCIS: New Orleans (2014).
Some of his other notable works include Papa (2012),starring Park Yong-woo, Nice Guy (2012),alongside Miguel A. Núñez Jr., the music video for D. Woods' single "2 TheBottom" (2012),Wonderland (2011),starring Natasha Bedingfield, and over 50 commercials for brands such as NBA, Coca Cola, Ford, Delta, and Toyota.
