Moshe Diamant, a renowned producer with a career spanning over 70 credits, has left an indelible mark on the film industry. His journey began in the late 1970s, when he trained as an engineer, developing a groundbreaking process for subtitling videos that caught the attention of Hollywood.
As his interest shifted towards the production side of the business, Diamant became a partner in Trans World Entertainment, a company he co-founded in 1983 and operated until 1993. During this period, he honed his expertise in producing low-budget action movies, often featuring martial arts legends such as Shô Kosugi in films like Pray for Death (1985).
Diamant's partnership with Belgian action specialist Jean-Claude Van Damme led to collaborations on several notable films, including the globetrotting thriller Double Impact (1991) and the science-fiction infused action film Timecop (1994).
Following the demise of Trans World Entertainment, Diamant expanded his repertoire, producing a diverse range of films across genres and budgets. His credits include the e-horror offering Feardotcom (2002),the Brian De Palma-directed period mystery biopic The Black Dahlia (2006),and the romantic drama Tristan + Isolde (2006),starring James Franco.
Since then, Moshe Diamant has continued to produce 27 feature films, with his most recent project being The Hurricane Heist (2018),a $37 million action film directed by Rob Cohen and starring Toby Kebbell, Maggie Grace, and Ryan Kwanten.
