Biography

Mother Teresa, also venerated as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was an extraordinary Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun who, in the year 1950, pioneered and actively participated in the establishment and growth of the esteemed Missionaries of Charity. Despite her passport bearing the name Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, she was born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in the captivating city of Skopje, which serves as the capital of the enchanting country of North Macedonia. Following an eighteen-year sojourn in Skopje, she embarked on a journey to Ireland and subsequently to India, where she spent the majority of her remarkable life.
