One of his most notable works is the pan-African TV drama "Changes" on Mnet, as well as his contributions to celebrated Kenyan films such as "Nairobi Half Life" and "Stories Of Our Lives". Mugambi's versatility as a writer and director has also led him to co-write and co-direct the musical drama TV series "Groove Theory", which aired on regional cable TV for two seasons.
In 2014, Mugambi curated and directed "Stories From The Mall", a powerful theatre tribute to the 2013 Westgate terrorist attack, produced by The Gladwell Theatre.
