Biography

Muriel Minot embarked on her stage journey at the tender age of ten, making her debut in Garcia Lorca's "Blood Wedding" alongside the illustrious Olympia Dukakis at Boston's Charles Street Playhouse. A graduate of Oberlin College Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance, she went on to appear at Cleveland's Hanna Theatre in a dual-week production of Gilbert & Sullivan's "HMS Pinafore" and "The Mikado" alongside Martyn Green's G&S Company. This was followed by a nationwide tour, performing at esteemed theatres such as the Goodspeed Opera House, Westport Country Playhouse, and Tappan Zee Playhouse, among others.

In 1966, Muriel relocated to New York City, where she met her actor-husband Terrence Beasor in March 1968 while performing back-to-back shows at the Equity Library Theatre. She starred in "Redhead," while he appeared in "Enemy of the People." The couple moved to Los Angeles in 1976 to pursue careers in television, film, and commercials, and over the years, they built solid resumes, becoming vested members of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).

In addition to her acting career, Muriel has been a dedicated singing instructor, privately teaching for an impressive 40 years. She has also served as the Owner/Producer of Mysteries en Brochette for 13 years (1997-2010),a musical Interactive Mystery/Dinner Theatre Company based in Marina del Rey.

In 2012, Muriel returned to studying classical singing under the tutelage of Armen Guzelimian, an internationally renowned Opera coach and accompanist. She gave a solo Operatic concert in Los Angeles in March 2015, accompanied by Armen at the piano. The duo subsequently performed a recital at the Santa Monica Library Auditorium in September 2017.

Muriel and Terrence Beasor have been married since December 1968, celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. They attribute their good fortune to their continued health and their ability to continue working as actors, while also enjoying their life on the beach in Santa Monica.
