Myles Breen, a renowned Panto performer in Ireland, hails from Limerick City, where his mother, Bridie, instilled in him a love for the arts from a young age. With a degree in Commerce from University College Cork, Breen opted for a career in acting, which led him to great success.
After spending 13 years in Dublin, Breen returned to Limerick, where he co-founded Bottom Dog Theatre Company with Liam O'Brien, Mike Burke, and Mike Finn in late 2008. The company has received numerous national award nominations, including two Irish Times Theatre Awards.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Breen is involved with the Daughters of Charity and Limerick Youth Theatre. He curated and acted as mentor for a collaborative project between the two organizations, called The Creative Show presents Channel Surfing, which allowed service users to experience the process of auditions, rehearsals, and production.
Myles Breen has written several plays, including 'The Bachelor of Kilkish', which ran for three nights in the Lime Tree Theatre, as well as in Kilmallock and Kilkee.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts in the Mid-West region, Breen was honored with the Limerick Person of the Month award in 2014. The following year, he received the Best Actor award at the Origins First Irish Festival for his one-man play 'Language Unbecoming A Lady'.
