Myra Paci, a multifaceted individual, embarked on her life's journey in Rome, Italy, and later Boston, Massachusetts.
She pursued higher education, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University, and further honed her skills by earning a Master of Fine Arts in Film/Television Production from the prestigious New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Her short films, "Butch Patrol" and "Transeltown", gained widespread recognition and accolades on the international film festival circuit, specifically the Lesbian/Gay International Film Festival.
Her thesis film, "XXXtasy: Two Days in the Life of a Saint", garnered her a job at the renowned New York City advertising agency, Weiss Whitten Stagliano, where she showcased her skills by directing and shooting commercials, a cable show, and marketing videos for esteemed clients such as Atlantic Records, Aer Lingus, and Cole Haan.
Her feature screenplay, "Searching for Paradise", earned her the esteemed Sundance Institute's Screenwriting and Directing Fellowships, and she went on to bring the film to life, starring an impressive cast including Chris Noth, Susan May Pratt, Jeremy Davies, Michele Placido, Laila Robins, Mary Louise Wilson, Josef Sommer, and John Pierson, with cinematography by Teodoro Maniaci, a score by Carter Burwell, and production by Ruth Charny, Janet Grillo, and Jonathan Shoemaker.
In 2000, she relocated to Berkeley, California, with her husband and children, and co-founded the video production company Casa Madre Films with Liz McBee. Later, she started SLAP Agency, a marketing and video production company, with Michael Furlong.
