Biography

Nabila, a renowned Egyptian actress, is widely recognized as the country's first star. Born into a wealthy family, her talents were discovered by the Egyptian director Atef Salim, who cast her in the film "Mafeesh Tafahom" (No Understanding),in which she did not utter a single word.

Following her impressive debut, Nabila took on the lead role in the film "Rabi'ah al-'Addawiyah". Her early success led to a marriage with her discoverer, Atef Salim, for a few years. Nabila's career expanded to include Lebanese cinema and stage productions.

On television, she starred in notable works such as "Bardees", "Sahibat al-Galala", and "al-'Amma Nour" (Aunt Noor) in 2003. Her radio credits include "al-Sabr fee al-Malahat". The actress also ventured into film production, producing movies such as "Wa Saqatt fee Bahr al-'Assal" (I Fell into a Sea of Honey).

Nabila has received numerous awards for her performances, including the award for best actress for her role in the film "La Yazal al-Tahqiq Mustamirran" (The Investigation is still Ongoing) in 1979. She has also received awards for her roles in "Intihar Sahib al-Shaqa" (The Suicide of the Flat's Owner),"al-'Azraa wa al-Sha'r al-Abyad" (The Virgin and the White Hair),and "Khatib Mama" (Mother's Fiancé).

In 2003, Nabila was chosen as a member of the judge's committee in the Cairo International Film Festival. She is considered one of the most intelligent and capable Egyptian stars, and has dubbed herself "Egypt's first star". Nabila's career reached new heights when she began producing films, particularly with Ashraf Fahmy and works adapted from Ehsan 'Abd Al Qudoos.

Some of her most notable roles include "Kashf al-Mastoor" (Revealing that which is Hidden) and "Toot Toot". Throughout her illustrious career, Nabila has established herself as a talented and versatile actress, leaving a lasting impact on the Egyptian film industry.
