Nadia Tonen is a multi-talented performer hailing from the charming city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. At the tender age of four, she first expressed her aspirations to shine on the stage as a singer and dancer, a dream that would eventually come to fruition.
For Nadia, the Leica Hardy School of Dance serves as her second home, where she has honed her skills in the disciplines of Russian syllabus ballet, jazz, and modern. Her dedication to her craft has earned her a prominent role as a featured dancer in The Nutcracker, a production presented by Symphony NS, for the past three consecutive seasons.
Beyond her passion for dance, Nadia is a globe-trotter at heart, always seeking opportunities to connect with fellow performers and like-minded individuals during her travels. When not on stage, she enjoys a variety of creative pursuits, including crafting, cooking, and sailing. Her more recent adventure involved lending a hand to her father in building a small camp, a project that brought them closer together.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has put Nadia's Equity stage debut on hold, but she remains optimistic about her future prospects. In 2021, she will make her debut in the highly acclaimed production of Billy Elliot at the esteemed Neptune Theatre, a milestone that will undoubtedly mark an exciting new chapter in her career.
