Born on December 19, 1949, in Falls Church, Virginia, Nancy spent her formative years in Riverside, California, where she attended high school, and later pursued a theater degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Nancy's film debut, as a demanding secretary in the intense urban action thriller Assault on Precinct 13 (1976),showcased her impressive acting chops. Notably, she also worked behind the scenes as the wardrobe mistress on this project. Her breakout role as the spirited and endearing babysitter Annie Brackett in the iconic seasonal slasher classic Halloween (1978) cemented her status as a talented actress.
