Nancy Sorel is a renowned American-Canadian actor and voice artist, celebrated for her captivating performances in a diverse range of projects. Born on May 14th in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA, she is the third child of Alphonse J Weglowski, a tool maker, and R.N. Diane Sorel Weglowski. Nancy's early life was marked by her attendance at B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, followed by her graduation from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she earned a degree in Theatre and Film.
During her time at U Mass Amherst, Nancy landed her first professional acting gig at the University Playwrights festival, working alongside guest artist Bill Pullman. This experience inspired her to relocate to New York City to pursue a career in acting. After earning her degree, Nancy began her professional journey, performing Off-Broadway at the Ernie Martin and Intar Theaters, while also working in commercials, print, and television.
Her breakthrough role came when she won the part of Coco on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. This success led to her relocation to Los Angeles, where she starred in the NBC daytime series Generations (1989).
