Nandita Roy

Nandita Roy, a talented individual, first took her first breath in the vibrant city of Mumbai in the year 1955. She went on to pursue her higher education, completing her graduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of Economics. Following her academic pursuits, she ventured into the realm of education, serving as a primary school teacher. As she honed her skills and gained valuable experience, she began to transition into the world of filmmaking, initially taking on the roles of assistant director and set dresser. Eventually, she decided to take the leap and form her own production company, dedicated to creating feature films. Since 2011, she has been working alongside the renowned actor Shiboprasad Mukherjee as a co-director, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in the Indian film industry.
