Nansi Nsue is a Spanish actor of African descent who made the bold decision to uproot her life as a child and relocate to Spain, specifically Alicante, from her native Equatorial Guinea.
Initially, Nansi's passion lay in sports, where she excelled in judo, rhythmic gymnastics, and basketball. However, it wasn't until she moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to pursue a degree in marketing and improve her English skills that she discovered her affinity for performing in front of an audience.
A chance to work as a background actor in the Hollywood comedy film Your Highness, starring Natalie Portman and James Franco, sparked a newfound interest in acting within Nansi, leading her to make the drastic decision to abandon her studies and relocate to London to chase her dreams.
In London, Nansi enrolled at The Method Acting Studio, where she honed her craft by studying voice and movement. She began building her experience by taking on short films and low-budget feature films.
Nansi's breakthrough role came when she starred in a 5-star sold-out production of the Afro-Caribbean adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca's play Yerma, which premiered at The Spanish Cervantes theatre in London.
Since then, Nansi has established a thriving career in television, making her debut in a guest lead role for ABC's Whiskey Cavalier and going on to secure recurring roles in popular BBC series The Mallorca files, Spanish series Madres: Amor y Vida for Amazon prime, and The paradise, a Spanish-Finnish collaboration.
Most recently, Nansi has completed filming for a Disney+ series and two feature films, including Hate songs, a powerful film that sheds light on the tragic story of the RTML, the radio that incited the 1994 Rwandan genocide, and El Salto, also known as Jumping the fence, by Benito Zambrano, which was one of five Spanish films selected for the Spanish Screenings Goes to Cannes lineup.
