Biography

Narges Abyar, a celebrated Iranian filmmaker and scribe, has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than two decades. Having earned a degree in Persian literature, she commenced her writing endeavors in 1997 and has since authored over thirty captivating story and fiction books catering to a diverse audience of children, young adults, and adults. Her impressive literary repertoire includes the notable novels "Mountain on the Shoulder of the Tree", "A Boy with Insatiable Worms on His Body", "Third Eye", "The Legend of A Skinny Spring", "It Was Neither a Day Nor a Night", "The Poems of a Sky-clad Fish", "Story of Two Fives", and "The Agitated Existence of a Prosperous Idol".

Notable beyond her literary pursuits, Abyar has also explored the realm of filmmaking, showcasing her multifaceted talents by writing and directing a total of five drama films. Her most recent cinematic endeavour, the film "Pinto", serves as a striking demonstration of her creative abilities.

Since 2005, Abyar has been actively involved in producing a range of short and feature-length documentaries. Her directorial debut, the fiction film "The Kind Dead-End", released in 2006, garnered widespread critical acclaim.
