Natalie Carter, a talented actress and neo-ethnic soul/jazz vocalist, has made a name for herself on the international and national stages. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from Carnegie-Mellon University, she has honed her craft and become a versatile performer.
Her extensive resume includes performances at numerous international festivals, such as the Brussels Jazz Festival in Belgium, Parade Musik Trisakti and Jamz in Jakarta, Jazz Nos Fundos in Brazil, Toyko Tuc in Japan, Holland, and Germany. In the United States, she has performed at notable events like the New York City Jazz Festival, NYC's Second Avenue Festival, Jazz On The Hudson, New York Good Will Games, New Hope Festival For The Arts, Norfolk AFRAM Festival, Mayfair Festival of The Arts, PA, Jazz By The Riverside, NY, and The Artscape & Afram Festival in Baltimore.
In addition to her stage work, Natalie has also produced and released her own CD, "Mind Body & Soul, I Surrender," which features eight original songs written and composed by her. The CD is available on various digital platforms, including iTunes, CDbaby.com, and Amazon.com.
Natalie's television and film appearances are equally impressive, with credits including Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt/Odd Mom Out, Crazy House, Another Earth, Pariah, NBC's Law and Order, Law & Order SVU, Millie and the Lords, 30 Rock, Third Watch, Late Nite with Conan O'Brien, and the Tribeca Film Festival. As a creative writer and performer, Natalie has worked on the music video-documentary "Hail Mary" and has received an Award of Distinction On-Camera Talent from the Videographer Awards for her work in the documentary "Look Where I Stand Achievement Centers." She has also been recognized with the Princess Grace Statuette Award, which has allowed her to work on several new plays and musicals, creating first-time roles.
