Nataša Gollová, a shining star of our pre-war film, was born on February 27, 1912, in Brno as Nataša Hodáčová. Her father, František Hodáč, was a national economist. She chose her stage name after her grandfather, historian Jaroslav Golla. After completing her studies at the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University in Prague, she demonstrated a remarkable talent for foreign languages and was a member of a dance group. Even as a young girl, she was drawn to the theater. She began studying acting privately, but before making it to the stage, she received her first film offer, "Kantor ideál" (1932),albeit a minor role. This was followed by a few insignificant parts, but in 1939, her career took a turn. Miroslav Cikán cast her in the film "Příklady táhnou," where her comedic talent was fully showcased. Martin Frič, a renowned director, further exploited her gift, giving her the largest opportunities in the film "Crazy komedií Eva tropí hlouposti." This film made Nataša Gollová one of the most beloved Czech actresses and an idol for young girls.
