Nathan Blair's lifelong journey as a movie enthusiast was instilled in his childhood, where his fascination with cinematic masterpieces knew no bounds. Growing up in the 1980s, he was captivated by the iconic film, "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark", which would go on to become his all-time favorite movie. Despite his childhood aspirations of becoming a filmmaker, he initially dismissed the notion as an unattainable dream. Nevertheless, fate had other plans, and his destiny was slowly unfolding.
Nathan, a talented graphic designer, was suddenly and unmistakably seized by a profound and unshakeable sense of divine purpose, compelling him to redirect his professional trajectory towards the realm of filmmaking. This transcendent calling, imbued with an unmistakable sense of urgency, precipitated a complex and multifaceted emotional response within him, oscillating between exhilaration and trepidation.
As he grappled with the magnitude of this newfound vocational aspiration, Nathan felt an overwhelming need to seek guidance and clarity, leading him to undertake a period of extended fasting and prayer. It was during this introspective and contemplative period that Nathan, in his own words, reflected upon the experience, remarking with humility and gratitude, "God only made me wait two meals, thankfully."
It was within the context of this period of spiritual introspection and self-reflection that Nathan reported receiving a profound and life-altering message from a higher power, one that would forever alter the course of his life. The message, simple yet profoundly impactful, was a single, yet resolute word: "Go".
Nathan's impressive professional profile boasts an extensive portfolio, comprising a total of five feature films, each showcasing his multifaceted skills as a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor.
Nathan assumes the position of Executive Director at Cross Wind Productions, a non-profit organization classified as a 501(c)3, which is committed to empowering the next generation of Christian filmmakers.
