Neal D. Barnard is a renowned American physician, author, clinical researcher, and founding president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM),a prestigious international network of physicians, scientists, and laypeople dedicated to promoting preventive medicine, conducting groundbreaking clinical research, and upholding higher standards in research.
As a pioneer in the field of low-fat vegan diets, Barnard has extensively researched and advocated for the numerous health benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. His work has also focused on exploring alternatives to animal experimentation and he is an active advocate for the animal rights movement.
Currently, Barnard serves as an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the esteemed George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, while also holding the position of president of The Cancer Project and heading the Washington Center for Clinical Research, a PCRM subsidiary.
Throughout his career, Barnard has published numerous research papers on the topic of vegan nutrition and its profound impact on human health.
