Neil, a former Royal Marines Commando and Falklands war veteran, has had a illustrious career spanning over two decades. His military service was marked by numerous combat deployments, earning him a plethora of medals and accolades. One of his most prestigious awards was Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant honor for "17 Years outstanding military service, as a member of the Forces in the Service of Her Majesty The Queen and the Country".
Throughout his military career, Neil was a versatile individual, taking on various roles and responsibilities. He was a skilled Free-Fall Parachute instructor and team leader, Tandem-Master, and Ski Instructor, representing his country in extreme sports. His passion for skiing led him to become an adaptive Ski Instructor, teaching injured service personnel how to ski as part of their physical rehabilitation with the Battle Back team.
After leaving the military, Neil transitioned to a new career as a stuntman, working on numerous film blockbusters. His impressive stunts caught the attention of the film industry, earning him a Taurus World Stunt Award in 2013 for his daring mid-air plane to plane high-jack jump on The Dark Knight Rises.
Neil's success as a stuntman led him to become a respected Stunt Co-ordinator, Action Unit Director, Producer, and published author, writing under the name Neil Thomas. When not working on film and television projects, Neil pursues his passion for amateur racing and splits his time between his homes in the UK and the Spanish Canary Islands, where he continues to write.
