Nicholas Downs, a multifaceted individual, was born and raised in the quaint Midwest town of Bondurant, Iowa, where he was the second youngest of ten siblings. Growing up in a large family instilled in him the importance of self-expression and creativity.
As a high school student, Nicholas discovered his passion for acting as a means to assert his individuality. His English teacher, Mrs. Sandoval, recognized his talent and guided him towards the fine arts. This mentorship played a significant role in shaping his future endeavors.
With the guidance of renowned Director Arthur Allan Seidelman, who cast him in his first feature film, Nicholas took a bold step towards pursuing his acting career in Los Angeles. He quickly secured an agent and a manager, laying the groundwork for his professional journey.
Nicholas's early work consisted of independent films, commercials, and guest appearances on television. He gradually gained momentum, landing more prominent roles in major motion pictures such as Pearl Harbor (2001),The Girl Next Door (2004),Constantine (2005),and The Holiday (2006).
Throughout his career, Nicholas has leveraged his experience as an actor to produce his own projects. Most recently, he partnered with Illumination Pictures and completed Anderson's Cross (2010),their inaugural collaboration. He is currently working on Illumination Pictures' next project, Prep School (2011),where he will not only serve as a producer but also take on a lead acting role.
As Nicholas continues to navigate the entertainment industry, he remains dedicated to his craft, consistently seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow as a performer and producer.
