Nicholas Vreeland, a multifaceted individual, is recognized by two esteemed monastic titles: Rato Khen Rinpoche and Geshe Thupten Lhundup. As a fully ordained Tibetan Buddhist monk, he has dedicated his life to the spiritual pursuit of enlightenment.

Currently, Vreeland serves as the abbot of Rato Dratsang Monastery, a revered 10th-century Tibetan Buddhist monastery that has been reestablished in India. This esteemed institution is a testament to the enduring legacy of Tibetan Buddhism and its continued relevance in the modern world.
