Nicole Ansari is a talented actress who has been active in the industry since the age of 9. Born in Germany, she started her career by appearing in several TV series, including the popular German crime drama "Tatort" alongside German star Goetz George.
After studying drama and dance in Hamburg, Nicole went on to star in two independent arthouse films, "Franta" and "Little King Eric". She then joined the renowned Zurich-based repertory company Theater am Neumarkt, where she appeared in several productions.
Nicole's breakthrough came when she was cast in the Swiss/Iraqi filmmaker Samir's first feature film, "Always and Forever", an adaptation of Jean Paul Sartre's "The Game is Over". She also starred in the TV series "Eurocops" and worked with director Thomas Jahn in the feature film "Kai Raabe gegen die Vatikankiller".
Nicole's subsequent career took her to New York, where she studied with Uta Hagen and the Actor's Studio. She was accepted as a working temporary member of the Actor's Studio and later became a member of the famed Theatre du Soleil in Paris under the direction of Ariane Mnouchkine.
During her time in Paris, Nicole appeared in several productions, including a short film with Corine Blue and Valeria Bruni-Tedesci. She later moved to Vienna, where she played the role of Alma Mahler in a TV mini-series and collaborated with director Paulus Manker and writer Joshua Sobol.
Nicole's subsequent career has seen her appear in numerous productions, including the Public Theater, where she played leads in several productions, including "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "Irma la Douce". She has also appeared in several TV movies and series, including "Deadwood" and "As the World Turns".
Nicole has been married to Scottish actor Brian Cox and has two children with him. She has continued to work in both the US and the UK, appearing in productions such as "The Biographer" and "Rock N' Roll".
