Nicole Arlyn was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on Long Island, marking the beginning of her journey in the world of acting. At just six months old, she landed her first role as a crying baby in the cult film Pot Luck, directed by Philip Marshak. This early start set the stage for her future endeavors.
After studying at the Universite Sorbonne in Paris, where she starred in the short experimental film Femme de Versaille, directed by Andre Duclos, Nicole returned to New York and enrolled in the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She went on to work in numerous off-Broadway productions and appeared in several indie films, including Blixa Bargeld Stole My Cowboy Boots alongside Michael Imperioli and Flushed, which screened at the Slamdance Film Festival.
Nicole then relocated to Los Angeles, where she continued to hone her craft under the guidance of Susan Peretz at the Third Street Theatre. Her breakthrough role came when she was cast in Clay Pigeons, directed by David Dobkin, opposite Joaquin Phoenix and alongside Vince Vaughn, Janeane Garofalo, and Georgina Cates.
Throughout her career, Nicole has appeared in a diverse range of films, including Frogs For Snakes, directed by Amos Poe, opposite Barbara Hershey and starring John Leguizamo and Debi Mazar; The Wedding Planner, directed by Adam Shankman, with Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey; Chinese Whispers, directed by Sophie Ward; Lunch Break, directed by Panos Koronis; Greasewood Flat, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival; Brooklyn Bound, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival; and Papow, directed by Kirk Farrington.
In addition to her film work, Nicole has been a driving force behind The Space Theater in Los Angeles, where she has written, directed, and acted in numerous productions. Her theatre credits include Strindberg's Miss Julie, Lanford Wilson's Home Free, Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending, The Smile, John Patrick Shanley's Savage in Limbo, Thomas Jane's Suckerfish, Shakespeare's As You Like It, Lance Lane's Roy's Coffee Shop and Love, Sex, and the IRS.
Nicole has also performed in a one-woman show, In Search of Anna Magnani, in Rome, Italy, and has recently wrapped production on the film The Fencestitute, directed by Susan Brigham, alongside Mark Boone Junior and Jake LaBotz. She currently resides in New York City, where she is studying under the guidance of the renowned Susan Batson.
