Nicole Lyn, a talented individual, was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, to parents Cheryl Gabay and Peter Lyn. Her love for the arts began at a tender age of three, when she started taking dance classes in her hometown, which would eventually become a lifelong passion.
As a young child, Nicole's exceptional talent was recognized, and she was enrolled in Toronto's prestigious Claude Watson School for artistically gifted students at just eight years old. This prestigious institution allowed her to immerse herself in the performing arts, while also excelling academically. Her passion for dance was further nurtured at the National Ballet School of Canada.
Nicole's early start in the entertainment industry led to her modeling and appearing in Canadian and U.S. national commercials. By the age of 12, she had already secured regular roles on two Canadian television series, Ramona (1988) and Eric's World (1990).
After taking a three-year hiatus from acting professionally to attend high school in Mandeville, Jamaica, Nicole returned to Canada and landed a leading role on the Fox's teen sitcom Student Bodies (1997),which ran for three seasons. By the time she was 18, she was well-known for her roles on Canadian television and was a prominent presence in Toronto's entertainment community.
In addition to her television and film work, Nicole has established herself as a successful DJ, known professionally as DJ Ms. Nix. She has been spinning regularly at notable venues and events across the country, earning the reputation as a "music lover's deejay." Her accomplishments as a DJ have been featured in various publications, including InStyle, Vanity Fair, Ebony, InTouch, Life & Style, Page Six, Us Weekly, Manhattan, and Angeleno magazines.
Nicole's television appearances as DJ Ms. Nix include The Queen Latifah Show, Good Morning America, BET's 106 & Park, RevoltLive, and MTV2's Hip Hop Squares, where she serves as the show's resident DJ and co-host.
