Nik Tyler was born and raised in New York City, the son of Emmy-winning "Law & Order" producer and director Lewis H. Gould and actress, photographer, and playwright Ellen Weissberg Gould (fka Ellen Whyte).
Nik began his professional acting career at age six, performing with The New York City Opera at Lincoln Center and in the Broadway production of "A Christmas Carol" at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden. He also appeared on television shows such as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", "Law & Order", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "ER", "2 Broke Girls", "Melissa & Joey", "Maron", "Conviction", and "The Days & Nights of Molly Dodd".
Nik attended The High School of Performing Arts and NYU, Tisch School of the Arts, where he majored in film and achieved a 4.0 GPA and recognition on the Dean's List.
He has also appeared in numerous films, including "Get A Job" opposite Bryan Cranston, "Bold Native", "Kill Katie Malone", "Off The Ledge", "Kilo", "Ladies Who Lunch", "Party Girl", and "I Will Follow You Into the Dark".
Nik has performed in several stage productions, including "AfterMath" at the Matrix Theatre, "I'm Not Rappaport" at the Matrix Theatre, and "Elevator" at The Coast Playhouse.
He has worked behind the scenes as a post-production coordinator and casting associate for the documentary "Unity", which starred 100 celebrity narrators and was released in theaters worldwide on August 12th, 2015. He has also worked as an assistant music supervisor on Season 2 of Hallmark's #1 hit series, "Cedar Cove", starring Andie MacDowell.
Nik has worked as a celebrity relations manager for several documentary film premieres, including "Be Here Now: The Andy Whitfield Story" at UTA, "The Ivory Game" at Netflix, "Gods In Shackles" at Harmony Gold, and "Vegan: Everyday Stories" at USC. He has also worked as a celebrity relations manager for Animal Equality's 10th Anniversary Gala at The P, Last Chance For Animals Annual Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and the Grand Opening of The Animal Rights Museum in downtown Los Angeles.
Nik is the senior celebrity and media relations manager for Mercy For Animals, the world's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies. He has produced, directed, and cast over 100 video productions and events for the NGO, collaborating with inspiring public figures including Dr. Jane Goodall, Joaquin Phoenix, Natalie Portman, Ellen Burstyn, Sen. Cory Booker, Martin Luther King III, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Woody Harrelson, Greta Thunberg, Jay Shetty, Rooney Mara, Tabitha Brown, Dr. IIyasah Shabazz, James Cromwell, Lucie Arnaz, Kevin Smith, Paul Wesley, Daniella Monet, Sarah Jeffery, Brandon Flynn, Michaela Jae Rodriquez, Kate Mara, Wendie Malick, Daisy Fuentes, Joseph Morgan, Sarah Jeffery, Persia White, Nikki Reed, Gus Kenworthy, Mya, Jon Kortajarena, Mena Massoud, Elizabeth Lail, June Squibb, and Alicia Silverstone, among others.
Nik is also the co-founder of Rebel With A Cause Productions, alongside producing partner/actress Alexandra Paul and producer/director/writer, Lewis H. Gould.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Nik is an accomplished fine artist and photographer. His work has been featured in galleries in NYC and LA, as well as at the Brooklyn Museum of Modern Art. He is the recipient of the Silver Key Award for "Excellence in Visual Art" by The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards as well as the Paul Harris Fellowship Award by the Rotary International.
Nik maintains a strong passion for activism, particularly focused on issues of homelessness, the climate crisis, and animal rights.
