Biography

Nik Tyler was born and raised in New York City, the son of Emmy-winning producer and director Lewis H. Gould and actress, photographer, and playwright Ellen Weissberg Gould.

He began his professional acting career at the age of six, performing with the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center and in the Broadway production of "A Christmas Carol" at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden. He also appeared in two albums and multiple television shows as a member of "The Broadway Kids".

Nik attended The High School of Performing Arts and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he majored in film and achieved a 4.0 GPA and recognition on the Dean's List.

He has appeared on numerous TV shows, including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", "Law & Order", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "ER", "2 Broke Girls", "Melissa & Joey", and "Maron". His voice has been featured in dozens of national commercial jingles, and he played a principal role in the National Youth Anti-Smoking Campaign.

Nik's film credits include "Get A Job", "Bold Native", "Kill Katie Malone", "Off The Ledge", "Kilo", and "Ladies Who Lunch". He has also performed in several stage productions, including "AfterMath" and "I'm Not Rappaport".

In 2014, Nik took a step back from performing and began working behind the scenes as a post-production coordinator and casting associate for the documentary "Unity". He also worked as an assistant music supervisor on Season 2 of Hallmark's "Cedar Cove".

From 2015-2016, Nik worked as a celebrity relations manager for several documentary film premieres and animal rights organizations. He also worked as a casting director for the hit play "Elevator" and the high-fashion photography series "Fashion Tails".

In 2017, Nik began working full-time as the Senior Celebrity & Media Relations Manager for Mercy For Animals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals. He has produced, directed, and cast over 100 video productions and events for the organization, collaborating with public figures such as Dr. Jane Goodall and Joaquin Phoenix.

Nik is also the co-founder of Rebel With A Cause Productions, a production company focused on creating content that promotes social and environmental change. He is an accomplished fine artist and photographer, and his work has been featured in galleries and museums.

In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Nik is passionate about activism, particularly focused on issues of homelessness, the climate crisis, and animal rights.
