Niki Koss began her acting career in films such as Red Wing, produced by Terence Malick, alongside Glen Powell, and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, a Paramount production.
Her breakthrough role came when she landed a series regular part opposite Bella Thorne in Freeform's Famous In Love, created by Marlene King, showrunner of Pretty Little Liars.
As she settled into her role, Koss made it a point to learn as much as she could about the behind-the-scenes process, shadowing and absorbing knowledge on directing and producing.
Her fascination with directing soon led her on a long journey of producing and directing various projects, starting with shorts, web series, pilots, and music videos, which garnered numerous awards.
Koss then moved on to feature films, producing three and directing four, all of which received worldwide and theatrical distribution.
Her most recent documentary feature film, Homeschooled, is currently making its way through the festival circuit and has already won several awards.
In addition to her filmmaking accomplishments, Koss has been recognized as the FEMALE FILMMAKER OF THE YEAR at the Boulder International Film Festival.
She is an active member of several organizations, including Women in Media, Women in Film, and the Alliance of Women Directors, and has participated in the Sundance Collab Directing Fellowship and Women in Film Producing Mentorship Program.
During the recent strike, Koss directed three commercials for Sephora.
Her achievements have earned her a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in Entertainment, as well as LA Weekly's list of TOP 10 Game Changing Innovators in Entertainment.
