Biography

Noah Teichner, a creative force born in America, now calls the City of Light, Paris, France, his home. As a multifaceted artist, he explores the intersections of filmmaking, performance art, and installation design, leveraging a vast range of sound and image technologies to scrutinize the intricate relationships between humor and historiography. With a Master of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Paris-Cergy National Graduate School of Art and a Doctor of Philosophy in Film and Media Studies from the University of Paris 8, Noah has established himself as a versatile artist.

Since 2015, he has been a professor at the University of Paris 8, in addition to his artistic endeavors. Noah's scholarly pursuits have led him to present research at conferences and author articles in both English and French, delving into the rich terrain of comedy's historical evolution, media archaeology, and the study of sound. Furthermore, he is an active member of the artist-run film laboratory L'Abominable, where he crafted his debut feature-length film, Navigators.
