Noël Ramos began his artistic journey at a young age, showcasing a passion for sculpting, illustration, and other creative mediums. By the age of 13, he had already developed a vast universe of original superheroes, writing, illustrating, coloring, inking, and lettering numerous comic books featuring his characters.
As he continued to hone his skills, Noël enrolled in formal training with renowned comic book artists Dick Giordano and Frank McLaughlin. Frank, an inker on the Justice League of America book, took a particular interest in the young artist and introduced him to the world of Graphic Design, forever altering his career path.
At just 16 years old, Noël landed a job with McDonald's, painting their iconic characters on restaurant windows. He graduated high school with honors at 17 and promptly moved to California, where he began working as a professional Graphic Artist for a company designing directories and signage for shopping malls.
Living in California, Noël also started working as a DJ and Live Event Host/Emcee, marking the beginning of his performance career. This would eventually lead him to radio work, commercial production, and the creation of the Independent Music Conference, which grew into an international event.
Almost eight years after moving to Sacramento, Noël returned to his hometown to open his own Graphic Design business, which flourished for years. He designed logos for top radio stations in Connecticut and his billboards and bumper stickers could often be seen on highways.
As technology became more accessible, Noël jumped into the digital video revolution by publishing a magazine and creating a television show, "Mixx Video." For two years, he hosted the cable access program, which won two viewer's choice awards and featured interviews with famous musicians and local artists.
As the Independent Music Conference grew, Noël focused less on performance and more on his graphic design work. Years later, he joined a semi-professional singing group called LeVoci, touring Italy and singing in historic locations.
Singing in public reawakened Noël's love for performance, but it wasn't until an unexpected email that he found himself in front of a camera again. The email, posted to a discussion list for Graphics and Digital Media people, was a call for "Extras" for a feature film. Noël took a chance and sent a recent photo, and the reply was immediate and surprising: "Hey Noël, Thanks so much for your response, you are exactly the type we are looking for."
Noël ended up filming for over a month, was bumped up to a named character, and promised a listing in the credits. The final scene was shot in New York City, and it was spectacular. The film, "Like Lambs," stars well-known names such as Liam Aiken and Justin Chon.
The encouragement he received from the film's Producers and Directors helped launch a brand new career for Noël, filling his resume with TV credits, short films, feature-length films, commercials, spokesperson roles, live theater, and more.
