Nolen Dubuc was born on October 6, 2007, in Vancouver, Canada, and is a triple threat entertainer who has been making waves in the entertainment industry since a young age.
Nolen made his musical theatre debut in the summer of 2017, at the tender age of 9, playing the role of Michael Banks in Mary Poppins at the Theatre Under the Stars. This performance earned him an Ovation Award nomination and his first Joey Award.
Following this, Nolen took on the role of Chip in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and later played John Bechdel in the critically-acclaimed production of Fun Home at the Arts Club Theatre Company. His performance in Fun Home earned him his second Joey Award.
Nolen's big break came when he starred as the title character in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Stratford Festival. He received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, and proved himself to be a true triple threat throughout his 119 performances.
In addition to his work in musical theatre, Nolen has also made a name for himself in film. He made his debut in 2018 with a role in Good Boys, produced by Seth Rogen. He has since appeared in The Christmas Waltz, Taking a Shot at Love, and Schmigadoon!, a parody of iconic Golden Age musicals starring Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key.
Nolen's journey into the arts began at the age of four, when he started taking dance lessons. He quickly proved himself to be a natural, and went on to win numerous titles and accolades, including Most Promising Junior Dancer, Provincial Dance Champion for Tap, and Provincial Qualifier for Tap and Lyrical.
As a vocalist, Nolen was named Most Promising Junior Male Vocalist and Most Promising Vocalist in regional competitions in British Columbia, Canada.
When he's not acting, dancing, or singing, Nolen loves to spend time with his family, including his two dogs, Louie the Labradoodle and Phoebe the Bernedoodle.
