Biography

Norman Thavaud, a French comedian and YouTube personality, was born in the northern region of France. As a young boy, he developed a passion for creating mini-shows on camera, initially entertaining his family with his amateur productions. This early fascination with filmmaking led him to pursue a three-year course in cinema at College in Paris.

After completing his studies, Norman began his career as a video editor, while simultaneously launching his first Dailymotion channel in collaboration with his best friend, Hugo tout seul. Together, they wrote, acted, and produced humorous short videos that quickly gained popularity on the internet. The success of their channel was unexpected, with thousands of viewers tuning in to watch their entertaining content.

In January 2011, Norman decided to launch his own YouTube channel, Norman fait des vidéos, releasing his first video, which he wrote, directed, acted, and edited himself. The video's immediate success prompted Norman to continue sharing his humorous perspective with his audience, filming in his small apartment in Montreuil.

As his channel grew in popularity, Norman's audience became increasingly devoted, feeling a strong connection to him and his life. His online sketches achieved unprecedented success, garnering over 5 million views and sparking a media buzz. Norman was hailed as a web phenomenon, earning the nickname "la Star du Web Man Show."

In 2011, Norman co-created two comedy shows, "Le Zapping Amazing" and "Le Zapping Amazing 2," sharing the stage with fellow YouTubers and touring extensively throughout France. He also made appearances in several episodes of Palmashow on C8 and Bref's show on Canal+.

In 2013, Norman landed a role in Maurice Barthélémy's film "Pas très normales activités," followed by a role in Maiwenn's critically acclaimed movie "Mon Roi" in 2015. Two years later, he appeared in Philippe Lacheau's film "Alibi.com," which received widespread acclaim and sold over 3.4 million tickets.

Norman's success also led to a one-man-show, "Norman sur scène," which he co-wrote with producer Kader Aoun. The show toured across France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada for two years. Today, Norman continues to create content for his YouTube channel, his first passion, and has also taken on a role in the second season of the French TV-show "Dix pour cent," which premiered in April 2017 on France 2.
