Nyle Cavaz Garciaos, a highly accomplished individual, embarked on his academic journey by attending Boise State University under a full scholarship. During his time there, he founded Small Town Pictures, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit. After relocating to New York, he delved into the world of production, working on independent films for renowned companies such as Lion's Gate, Good Machine, and The Shooting Gallery.
Garcia's creative endeavors soon shifted towards filmmaking, as he wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film 'Humidity'. He then directed the Sundance Film Festival favorite 'The Support Group', which garnered widespread attention and acclaim. His feature film debut, 'Clean', premiered at various international film festivals, won numerous top awards, and was released worldwide on DVD/PPV/VOD.
As a short film enthusiast, Garcia continued to write and direct projects such as 'The Dark', 'Bleeding', 'Mary's Journal', 'Houston & 6th', and 'The Man with the Red Right Hand', all of which successfully screened at multiple film festivals. These films were later compiled into the horror/thriller anthology 'Dark Passenger: Volume 1'.
As a screenwriter, Garcia's versatility has been a key factor in his success. He has optioned over a dozen feature film screenplays across various genres. His horror screenplays, including 'Slasher Flick', 'Tag', 'Blood Pressure', 'The Absence of Light', and 'Olivia's Fingers', won top screenwriting awards, as did his sports comedy 'The Fighting Irish', his LGBTQ+ rom-com 'Straight Up, Now Tell Me...', and his coming-of-age time travel fantasy 'The Zenith'.
Garcia's latest horror short film, 'Last Ride', has won multiple top awards at international film festivals and is being distributed worldwide by Adler & Associates Entertainment. He is currently working on 'Catnip', a Christmas horror feature film about killer cats, which he will direct in 2025 from his original screenplay.
