Oliver's adolescent years unfolded in the quaint and captivating city of Chilliwack, a locale that nurtured his formative experiences, before he made the deliberate decision to relocate to the vibrant and culturally rich city of Vancouver. The purpose of this relocation was to further his educational ambitions by enrolling in the prestigious and highly respected Musical Theatre program at Capilano University.
For a period of three consecutive years, Oliver dedicated himself to an intensive exploration of the multifaceted disciplines of acting, singing, and dancing. Through this immersive experience, he meticulously honed his skills, meticulously refining his abilities in preparation for a future in the dynamic and ever-evolving world of the performing arts.
Oliver embarked upon the next stage of his artistic development by opting to prolong his initial three-year training period by an additional year, thereby allowing him to acquire a more comprehensive understanding of the performing arts. This decision ultimately led to his graduation with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree, marking a significant milestone in his professional trajectory.
Oliver has had the distinct honour of collaborating with a multitude of esteemed organizations, encompassing a diverse range of theatrical entities, including but not limited to the prestigious Gateway Theatre, the illustrious Carousel Theatre for Young People, and the renowned Chemainus Theatre Festival.
Throughout his illustrious career, Oliver's impressive repertoire has earned him widespread recognition, culminating in a Jessie Richardson award for his outstanding and captivating performance in Raincity Theatre's production of the iconic musical, Sweeney Todd.
Oliver's impressive theatrical credentials are only half the story, as he has also received a prestigious nomination for his remarkable contributions to The Arts Club's production of Hand To God. This exceptional talent has not limited himself to the spotlight, as he has concurrently uncovered a captivating fascination with the art of puppetry and is diligently cultivating his entrepreneurial aspirations through the establishment of Borzboy Puppets, a venture poised to revolutionize the world of puppetry and become a thriving enterprise in its own right.
