Oliver Cooper's life journey began on December 2, 1989, in Toledo, Ohio. At the tender age of 19, he made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2009, driven by an unyielding passion to pursue a career in acting. His determination led him to secure an internship at CONAN, a significant stepping stone in his early days in the entertainment industry.
As he continued to hone his craft, Oliver's big break came when a fellow acting classmate informed him that Warner Brothers was seeking fresh faces for the Todd Phillips-produced Project X. With no representation, Oliver relied on his friend, Shaun Weiss, a former child star, to help him secure an audition. Judd Apatow, who had collaborated with Weiss on Heavyweights, put in a call to the casting office, paving the way for Oliver's debut performance as Costa. His impressive portrayal earned him not one, but two MTV Movie Award nominations for Best Comedic Performance and Best On-Screen Dirtbag.
Following the success of Project X, Oliver landed a supporting role in Runner Runner, opposite Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck, as well as a season arc on the popular Showtime series Californication, playing the character of Levon, the illegitimate son of David Duchovny and Heather Graham's characters.
In 2013, Oliver co-wrote and produced Four Dogs, a film that premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival to rave reviews and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime. He also developed a pilot for Comedy Central, titled The King of Chicago, which he co-wrote with Cody Oz and produced alongside Scott Stuber.
Oliver's subsequent projects have showcased his versatility as an actor. He starred in the three-season Amazon series Red Oaks, playing the lovable character of Wheeler, a stoner with a heart of gold. In 2018, he appeared in Jason Reitman's The Front Runner, alongside Hugh Jackman, as young campaign aid Joe Trippi, and in Matthew Carnahan's National Geographic mini-series Valley Of The Boom, playing Todd Krizelman, co-founder of the globe.com.
Oliver's impressive resume also includes a memorable appearance in season 2 of David Fincher's critically acclaimed Netflix series, Mindhunter, as infamous serial killer David Berkowitz, also known as The Son of Sam. Throughout his career, Oliver has consistently demonstrated his talent, adaptability, and dedication to his craft, solidifying his position as a talented and in-demand actor in the entertainment industry.
