Oliver Theess, a multifaceted individual, hails from Los Angeles, California, where he grew up on both sides of the hill, specifically in the Hollywood Hills, surrounded by the glamour of the entertainment industry. With a penchant for adventure, Oliver's early years were marked by a jet-setting lifestyle, which fueled his passion for sports.
As a young athlete, Oliver excelled in every sport he participated in, earning championships in each and every one. His impressive feats include a national championship in BMX racing at the tender age of 15, as well as a record-breaking time of 33 seconds in the 440-yard dash, although it remains unofficial. His athletic prowess led him to compete in skateboarding and surfing events, solidifying his status as a triple threat.
Oliver's talents and creative abilities did not go unnoticed, and he was soon approached by Hollywood producers to star in feature films. However, he declined these offers, opting instead to focus on his education in television production, photography, and acting. After completing his studies, Oliver began accepting roles in Hollywood, joining three unions in just one week and landing bit acting parts and stunt performer jobs on numerous studio productions.
Throughout his career, Oliver has worked with some of the most iconic figures in the industry, including Andy Griffith on the TV program Matlock. He has also honed his skills in various martial arts disciplines, including Tang so do, Taekwondo, Kempo, and Shotokan, as well as training in the use of weaponry, such as the Samurai Katana sword, rapiers, daggers, and broadswords.
Oliver's impressive stunt skills were showcased in films like Wayne's World, where he utilized his nun-chucks expertise to land the role. He has also worked as a stunt driver on The Green Hornet and has trained with some of the most renowned stunt coordinators in the industry.
As an actor, Oliver has trained with the last of the Hollywood Studio teachers, Estelle Harmon, at her Actors Workshop in Hollywood, California. When not on set, Oliver can be found surfing, a passion he has pursued throughout his life, traveling to some of the world's most renowned surf spots and riding some of the biggest waves imaginable.
In addition to his acting and stunt work, Oliver is also a skilled craftsman, producing innovative skateboards and surfboards in his studio shaping room in the South Bay. His surfboard label, "Theess Surfboards," has gained recognition for its cutting-edge designs and shapes, allowing Oliver to stay close to the beach while pursuing his many creative endeavors.
