Noted scriptwriter and cinematic visionary, he embarked upon his remarkable professional journey within the realm of film as a trusted aide to the illustrious and highly acclaimed Chilean filmmaker, Patricio Guzmán.

In the year 1972, he embarked upon a most significant and inaugural foray into the realm of writing and directing, culminating in the creation of his very first feature-length documentary, a groundbreaking and influential work titled "Los Puños Frente al Cañón".

It would be pertinent to note that a considerable period of time elapsed, specifically four years, before the individual in question made the decisive decision to depart from his previous location, ultimately finding himself in Mexico, where he would ultimately come to establish a lasting connection with the city of West Berlin, which would serve as the primary hub for his professional pursuits for an extended duration.

Notably, during his tenure in West Berlin, this individual's multifaceted expertise was showcased through a variety of creative endeavors. The German rendition of the comedian's humorous creation, "Los Hijos del Ratón Mickey", made its debut in Germany in the year 1996, under the title "Irren ist Männlich", a moniker that aptly captured the essence of the production's lighthearted and comedic tone.

Following a prolonged hiatus of nearly a decade, the individual in question made a triumphant return to his native Chile in the year 1995.

In the year 2001, a notable event occurred in the life of a remarkable individual, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career as a writer and director. Ten years following the initial milestone, a notable filmmaker embarked on a new creative venture, crafting an original feature-length motion picture, aptly titled "Cirqo". As the project progressed, it reached a pivotal stage in 2012, entering the post-production phase.

A distinguished individual with a storied career, he has had the privilege of lending his expertise to esteemed film festivals, participating as a jury member in events of great repute. Among the notable occasions he has had the honor of being involved were the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico, a premier event showcasing the best of Latin American cinema, the Gramado International Film Festival in Brazil, a celebration of innovative storytelling and artistic expression, and the Latin American Film Festival in Havana, a prestigious gathering of industry professionals and cinephiles.

The esteemed educator has had the privilege of instructing at numerous renowned film institutions, including the prestigious Film School of the University of Mexico, also known as CUEC, where he imparted his vast knowledge to aspiring filmmakers. Additionally, he has had the honor of teaching at the Film School of San Antonio de los Baños, a renowned institution in Cuba, known as EICTV, which has produced some of the most talented filmmakers in the industry.
