Oskar Söderlund, born in 1978, is a renowned Swedish screenwriter, acclaimed for his work on several prominent television series and films. His notable creation is the 2014 television series "The Fat and the Angry", directed by the internationally recognized Johan Renck, which premiered on SVT and received widespread acclaim.

"The Fat and the Angry" earned numerous accolades, including the Silver Bird Prize in the 'TV Movie' category at the 2014 Seoul International Drama Awards, a Europa Prize nomination, and the prestigious 'Best non-English Language Drama Series' award at the 2014 C21 International Drama Awards.

Söderlund's subsequent work includes the thriller drama series "Greyzone", which premiered in February 2018 and has garnered outstanding reviews.

Prior to his success with "The Fat and the Angry" and "Greyzone", Söderlund began his career by writing the screenplay for the feature film "Offside" in 2006 and co-authoring the storyline for the TV series "How Soon Is Now?!" in 2007, which was directed by Mikael Marcimain and later won the Prix Italia and the Golden Fipa.

Söderlund further developed and wrote the Swedish adaptation of Marianne Fredriksson's modern classic "Simon" in 2011, which received a record-breaking 13 nominations at The Official Swedish Film Awards.
