Paddy Murphy is a renowned Irish filmmaker, currently residing in the Limerick/Clare region, who has traversed a fascinating career path from video game development to the world of cinema.
Prior to his foray into filmmaking, Paddy spent three years from 2009 to 2012 releasing over a dozen video games across various platforms, including the PlayStation, iPhone, and PC, as part of Open Emotion Studios.
Paddy Murphy's debut feature film, The Three Don'ts, premiered in 2017, garnering widespread critical acclaim and subsequently winning numerous prestigious awards, ultimately securing worldwide distribution with Hex Media in 2018.
His sophomore feature film, The Perished, made its debut at the esteemed FrightFest in 2019. Most recently, Paddy co-directed his third feature film, Lulu & The Electric Dreamboat, alongside Michael Casey, which has just been released on Amazon Prime.
In addition to his feature films, Paddy has also written and directed over a dozen short films in collaboration with the Irish film collective Celtic Badger Media. Many of these shorts have been showcased globally, earning numerous accolades and recognition.
Paddy Murphy has been married to Kathy Murphy since July 31st, 2009.
