Padma Khanna, a talented individual from Northern India, marked her cinematic debut at the tender age of 21 in 1961 with an unreleased Bhojpuri film. Following the completion of this project, she came to the profound realization that acting was not her true calling, thus she opted to return to her hometown and dedicate herself to furthering her education.
Nine years would pass before Padma would re-enter the world of acting, this time being cast as a captivating cabaret dancer in the 1970 film "Johny Mera Naam." This pivotal role served as a catalyst, propelling her towards a remarkable career that would span over a decade, with Padma dazzling audiences in more than 500 films throughout the 1970s and early 1980s.
In 1986, Padma's personal life took a significant turn as she tied the knot and subsequently retired from the acting world. She relocated to America, where she currently resides. The Indianica Dance Academy in Iselin, New Jersey, is a testament to her enduring passion for the performing arts, as she now devotes her time to nurturing the next generation of dancers.
Padma is blessed with two children, Neha Sidana and Akshar Sidana, who undoubtedly bring her immense joy. Despite her illustrious career, she has remained humble and dedicated to her family, a true testament to her character.
