Patricia "Patty" Manterola, a renowned Mexican music, film, and television star, is a household name among the Latino community in the US and globally. She has recently taken on the role of co-host on Telemundo's popular shows "Siempre Niños" and "La Voz Kids," and is set to release her new single "Alalaleo."
Manterola's passion for music and entertainment began at a young age, which led her to land a starring role in the musical "Anita la Huerfanita" (Annie) at just eight years old. In 1989, she joined the popular music group Garibaldi, with whom she enjoyed immense success across Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
After her time with Garibaldi, Manterola launched her solo career with her debut album "Hambre de Amor." In 1994, she made her mark in the world of telenovelas with a leading role in "Acapulco, Cuerpo, y Alma," which aired in over 73 countries worldwide.
Throughout her illustrious career, Manterola has taken on important roles in various TV productions, including the Spanish-language version of the hit TV series "Charlie's Angels," as well as a special guest appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." She has also starred in several feature films, such as "The City of Lost Souls," "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood," "Carman: The Champion," and "The Perfect Game," among others.
As a talented singer, Manterola has released eight music albums, including "Niña Bonita," "Quiero Más," "Que El Ritmo No Pare," the official song of the 2002 Cycling Tour of Spain, and the theme song for the FIFA World Cup Korea - Japan 2002, which also featured an English-language version entitled "The Rhythm." Additionally, she recorded the theme song for the Formula 1 Race: "Grand Prix of Europe."
Patricia Manterola currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Forrest Kolb and their three children.
