Her breakthrough film, "Los Motivos de Luz", marked a significant milestone in her career, as she took on the role of a mother who, in a heart-wrenching turn of events, is driven to take the lives of her four sons. The film's direction earned the prestigious "Concha de Plata" award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 1985, a testament to her exceptional talent and the film's impact.
In 1998, Marta Larralde was honored with the esteemed position of judge at the renowned San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain, a recognition of her expertise and contributions to the world of cinema.
In addition to her numerous accomplishments, Marta Larralde is a member of the board of the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, a prestigious organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating excellence in filmmaking.
Furthermore, in June 2007, Marta Larralde was elected as an officer of the Asociación Nacional de Interpretes (A.N.D.I.),the Mexican union for broadcast artists, a position that reflects her commitment to the welfare and advancement of her peers in the industry.
