Born on October 2nd in New Zealand, Patrick Kake embarked on a journey that would have a profound impact on his life, all stemming from a chance entry into a modeling competition in 1993. This marked the beginning of his career in modeling, as he took part in the annual New Zealand fashion award shows.
It was during one of these events that a casting director discovered Patrick, standing at an impressive 6'2" with a muscular physique, and selected him to be a double for Kevin Sorbo in the popular television series Hercules. Patrick himself credits this experience with teaching him a great deal about acting and sparking his passion for the craft.
Initially, Patrick's role was to stand in for Kevin during times when he was not on camera, a requirement imposed by producers to prevent Kevin from overexerting himself, as he had done in previous shoots. Patrick worked on Hercules from 1995 to 1999, and in 2000, he began appearing in the science fiction series Cleopatra 2525, which ran until 2001.
The year 2005 proved to be a significant one for Patrick, as he landed the role of Centaur general Oreius in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. He has also appeared in the vampire horror/adventure film 30 Days of Night, released in 2007.
