Paul J. Alessi, a native New Yorker, spent his youth engaging in competitive ice hockey and amateur boxing. This athletic background led him to volunteer as a firefighter and coach for youth sports, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to his community.
His diverse work experience includes driving a Zamboni, working as a security guard, and constructing buildings. However, his life took an unexpected turn when his striking blue eyes and toned physique caught the attention of industry professionals while he was working on a construction site in Manhattan.
Soon after, Alessi's modeling career took off, and he relocated to Los Angeles, where he had the opportunity to work with renowned director F. Gary Gray. His debut as the tragic AIDS victim in TLC's 1995 award-winning video "Waterfalls" earned him critical acclaim and recognition.
Alessi's passion for acting led him to pursue it full-time, showcasing his versatility in a range of roles, from a psychopathic rapist to a heartfelt and confused individual on a journey of redemption. His performances as a hit man in the mob and a Marine in Iraq garnered critical acclaim.
Seeking to improve the quality of films, Alessi decided to utilize his gift for gab and knack for networking by producing. His credits include "Morphin(e)," "Allison," "The Confession," "Ten 'til Noon," "Truth or Dare," "Light," and "Official Rejection." Most recently, he produced and starred in the feature film "Alpha Males Experiment" (2009).
In addition to producing, Alessi has developed an interest and expertise in documentaries, behind-the-scenes, and EPK directing and producing. He has worked on several films, including Sony Pictures' "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" (2009),directed by Troy Duffy. Alessi has several features in development and is producing a documentary series on the next great sports champions.
