Paul Martin, a renowned director and writer, was born on February 8, 1899, in the charming city of Koloszvar, a part of the vast and culturally rich territory of Transilvania, which was then a province of Austria-Hungary, but is now known as Cluj-Napoca, situated in the beautiful county of Cluj, Romania.

Martin's impressive career in the film industry spanned multiple decades, during which he gained recognition for his work on several notable films, including the 1951 production "Die tödlichen Träume", the 1937 release "Black Roses", and the 1935 film "Schwarze Rosen".

In his personal life, Paul Martin was married to the lovely Frauke Lauterbach.

Sadly, Martin's life came to an end on January 26, 1967, in the vibrant city of West Berlin, which was then a part of West Germany.
