Biography

Paul Terry is a multifaceted creative force, excelling as a music artist, producer, and bestselling author. His independent label, SkyBabyRecords, serves as the platform for his music releases.

As an instrumental artist, Terry's acclaimed project Aptøsrs debuted with the album 'Elders', mixed by renowned producer Adam Noble, who has worked with Biffy Clyro. This marks the beginning of Terry's impressive discography, which spans over 30 original scores.

One of his most notable scores is for the award-winning film 'Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection' (2022),a biopic about the creator of The Rocketeer. Additionally, he composed the score for 'Sidney & Friends' (2018),a multi-award-winning feature documentary that received a nomination for Best Score at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Terry's other notable scores include 'Hidden Valley Place' (2021),a thriller that earned a nomination for Best Score at the 2021 Independent Music Awards, and 'Emily' (2013),a drama starring Felicity Jones and Christopher Eccleston.

As a singer-songwriter, Terry records under the moniker Cellarscape, releasing albums such as 'Exo Echo' (2017),'Chem Trails' (2017),and 'The Act of Letting Go' (2014). The latter received a nomination for Best Eclectic Album at the 2015 Independent Music Awards. He has collaborated with acclaimed Dutch artist Anneke van Giersbergen on the song 'The Same Place' (2014). The music video for Cellarscape's 'Epinephrine' (2014) was officially selected for SXSW 2016.

Terry has also ventured into writing, penning or co-writing numerous official books on film and TV properties, including 'The X-Files', 'Lost', 'Fringe', 'Big Trouble in Little China', and many more. His fiction book debut, 'Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974) - Haunted & Hunted' (published by Moonstone Books),features five brand new Kolchak stories.

In addition to his creative pursuits, Terry has produced official podcasts for various TV series, including 'Project Blue Book', 'Colony', 'Behind the Panel', and 'Through the Looking Glass: A LOST Retrospective'. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
